The intelligent choice for your special occasion. The Ocean Village Nor'easter Function Hall is a non-alcoholic, smoke-free facility. Under the provisions of the Military Base Closure Act, Road to Responsibility has been granted a building at the South Weymouth Naval Air Station which we lease and operate as a function hall. The primary initiative is to create jobs for individuals with disabilities. Until the proper transfer of the property is completely finalized, the sale of alcoholic beverages anywhere on the base is strictly prohibited This historic building is conveniently located on the grounds of the former South Weymouth Naval Air Station and once served proudly as the Non-commissioned Officers' Club for the United States Naval and Marine Personnel assigned to the base. Ideal for small to medium-sized parties, each one of the four attractively decorated rooms possesses its own charm and character while offering the flexibility you need to make your special occasion a truly memorable event. Flagship Ballroom When entertainment is on your agenda this spacious room is the ideal solution for your party's needs - featuring a stage, dance floor, festive lighting, direct access to the main (non-alcoholic) bar and ample room for tables and chairs to accommodate up to 72 guests. Officers' Club For smaller parties this stylish offering comes with its own non-alcoholic) bar and offers an appealing touch of cozy charm for your gathering. An eye-catching , brick fireplace enhances the room's attractive decor by adding its own special blend of warmth and intimacy. Seating capacity is for 40 guests. Galley If "casual comfort" is desired, this will make your guest feel right at home. Located immediately off our kitchen, this bright, spacious area lends a touch of informality to your gathering amid an atmosphere of fun and conviviality that seats up to 50 guests. Captain's Cabin The ideal venue for small educational workshops, group discussions, presentations or training seminars. Equipped with a speakers podium and television this comfortable, smartly decorated room offers privacy in a business-like setting. The seating capacity is 50. Each room is available for rent individually or in combination with any of the others. Of course, the entire hall can be reserved for larger events. Total capacity is for 212 people.
The above rates are per room and include 4 hours of rental time. All rates are subject to change Costs for the use of the kitchen and/or the bar facilities are extra and will be negotiated on an "As needed basis." Deposits: At the time of the booking, a non-refundable deposit of $50.00 is required. This will be credited toward your final bill. All balances must be paid in full in fourteen (14) days prior to the function date. Rooms will be reserved based upon availability, size of function, and client preference.
