Advocating for the Human Services Workforce

Road to Responsibility was proud to join fellow providers, advocates, legislators, and community members at the third South of Boston Caring Force Rally in Rockland.

More than 200 attendees gathered to raise awareness about the importance of investing in the human services workforce and ensuring individuals with disabilities and other vulnerable populations continue to receive the support they need. The event featured remarks from human services workers and the people they serve, as well as elected officials including Senator Patrick O'Connor, Senator Dylan Fernandes, and State Representative Joan Meschino, who joined providers and advocates to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the sector.

RTR was honored to serve as a sponsoring organization alongside BAMSI, JRI, New England Village, Plymouth ARC, REACH Inc., and Seven Hills Foundation. The rally brought together organizations from across the region to speak with a unified voice about the critical role direct support professionals and other human services workers play in our communities every day.

As Chair of the Providers' Council Board of Directors, RTR President & CEO Dr. Christopher White continues to help advance conversations around the future of human services and the workforce that makes this essential work possible.

Thank you to the Providers' Council, our fellow sponsors, elected officials, and everyone who participated in this important event.
