Chris White Elected Chair of Providers’ Council Board
Road to Responsibility (RTR) is proud to announce that President and CEO Dr. Christopher T.S. White has been elected Chair of the Providers’ Council Board of Directors.
The Providers’ Council is Massachusetts’ largest human services membership association, representing primarily nonprofit, community-based organizations that provide human services, health care, education, and vocational supports to hundreds of thousands of residents across the Commonwealth.
As Chair, Dr. White will help lead the Council's Board of Directors and support its advocacy efforts on behalf of human services organizations across Massachusetts.
This appointment reflects Dr. White's longstanding leadership in the human services field and his commitment to advancing opportunities for individuals with disabilities and their families.
Since becoming President and CEO in 2008, Dr. White has led RTR through significant growth while remaining focused on improving the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Dr. White brings more than 45 years of experience in human services to the role. In addition to serving as Chair of the Providers’ Council, he sits on the Executive Board of the Association of Developmental Disabilities Providers and was among the original members of the President’s National Task Group on Dementia, established in 2010.
“I am honored to serve as Chair of Providers’ Council and to work alongside so many dedicated leaders across our sector,” said Dr. White. “Human services organizations are essential to the well-being of our communities. I look forward to helping advance policies and priorities that improve the lives of the individuals and families we serve.”
The appointment comes at an important time for the human services sector as organizations across Massachusetts continue to advocate for workforce development, sustainable funding, and expanded supports for individuals and families.
As Chair of the Providers’ Council, Dr. White will bring the perspective of both a statewide advocate and a leader of one of Massachusetts' largest providers of disability services, helping ensure the voices of individuals, families, and human services organizations remain part of critical conversations about the future of care and support in the Commonwealth.
